Raised in the gritty, historic manufacturing hub of Lynn, Massachusetts, RH developed an early appreciation for hard work and durability. After leaving New England, he spent a few hitches serving in the military—an experience that forged a lifelong respect for the armed forces and an intimate understanding of what military personnel value in their gear and commemorative keepsakes.

Driven by a passion for traditional craftsmanship, RH spent his evenings studying jewelry design and silversmithing at the prestigious Museum of Fine Arts School in Boston. This formal training in fine arts, combined with his military background, created a unique design philosophy: crafting items that are as visually stunning as they are historically respectful and durable.

The designer’s passion for history preservation and veteran’s concerns continue with his volunteer work with The Hellships Memorial Foundation in Subic Bay Philippines

Eventually settling in the Philippines, RH founded Elegance of Time to bring his specialized skills to a global audience. Since 1998, he has been a trusted partner for the military community, meticulously designing custom challenge coins, rings, and bespoke jewelry for Special Forces units across all branches of the armed services.

Today, Elegance of Time leverages decades of master silversmithing, horology, and custom design to produce exclusive, limited-edition runs—from high-end automatic watches to foundation fundraisers like the Hellships Memorial collection.
